Zakti Active Photo Shoot

“Ross has worked with us launching our new brand Zakti Active, he really captured what the brand is about.

Such an eye for detail, the results look fantastic!”

Sam Jones, Head of Woman’s Wear.

Here’s another shoot with Zakti, shot on location in Saas Fee, Switzerland. We had fantastic weather for the whole shoot, I processed it all using Capture One and Photoshop and I’m pretty sure it was the last shoot on the Nikon D4 before the arrival of the D5.

Castore Clothing Photo Shoot

‘Working with Ross was an absolute pleasure, he was calm, collected and always cheerful. Whatever challenges we put in front of him (there where a lot) he went above and beyond.

Ross worked with us every step of the way from planning right through to the final shots and really captured what the brand is all about.

We get asked on a weekly basis who our photographer was, I couldn’t recommend Ross more. Planning our next shoot as we speak.’

Phil Beahon – Director Castore Clothing

These pictures are some of the results  from a shoot with Castore Sports Clothing. It was great working with these guys, they pretty much let me go for it whilst trying to stay within there brief, they where also quite keen to push the boundaries a bit with the retouch… very refreshing!

I used my Nikon D5 for all of the shots with the Elinchrom Quadra’s for some of the shots. I used the CamRanger for live review.

Here’s the results from a photo shoot for Zakti Active shot in London and Cassis, the weather was a little challenging but we managed to get a great result regardless of conditions. I used the Nikon D4 for the whole shoot.

InTheSnow Fashion Shoot

“Professional, funny, and totally dedicated, day and night, until the results are perfect. His passion enthusiasm and drive for the best shot is absolutely infectious.”

Dominic Killenger, Director, InTheSnow Magazine.

As last winter drew to a close I was drawn back out to beautiful Zermatt to do a fashion photo shoot for In The Snow’s new publication “Love The Mountains” Of cause, the weather did it’s usual trick of providing me with the whole gammut of conditions in just 4 days, which tends to send you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and frustration (especially when the fog sets in). But if there’s one thing I’ve learnt over the years it’s to try and use the elements to your advantage, so we carried on and shot through in all conditions, using misty mountains and ancient wooden chalets as backdrops. I used the D800 for most of the shoot and natural light.

Many thanks Rob Stewart at Ski Press and My Switzerland for all of their assistance. Also to Emily Sarsfield, Vicky Norman, James Henri and Kieran O’Rourke for all of their modelling skills.

Cycle Surgery @ The Olympic Velodrom

001_FRONT_COVER_CS_SUMMER_2013-4web

Here’s a couple of shots from a shoot I did for Cycle Surgery in the Velodrom at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park, Stratford. It was quite a tricky one as we only had probably an hour and a half while the BBC where having lunch inbetween filming for Sports Relief to get the shots done. Although it seemed quite bright in there my camera meter thought otherwise and we had to get the Elinchrom Quadras out in order to get the depth of field correct.
